1C PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION
1) To foster a sense of community and kinship;
2) To create a forum for discussion of matters of mutual interest and community development.
3) To promote educational and cultural exchanges between our people and the United States of America;
4) To promote the name and image of the community.

Goals 
1) Promoting the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood between NDI ORLU and their families through social interactions.
2) Serving as the union under which OCUFE men, women and children may come together in achieving the common goal of understanding and self-help.
3) Keeping Igbo traditions and customs alive as celebrated in our rich festivals and cultural institutions.
4) Encouraging and when possible assisting members in promoting cultural activities.
5) Promoting teaching of Igbo language and culture to our children and to other interested people.
6) Discouraging acrimony between members, families and outsiders.
7) Fostering cultural understanding between NDI ORLU and people from other localities through the promotion of cultural exchange.
8) OCUFE shall have IGBO as its language of deliberation, though English language shall be used for documentation and filing purposes.
